Nature first
Vitamin D
01 · Where nature keeps it
Light on skin. Fatty fish. Egg yolk. Mushrooms that saw the sun.
02 · What the pattern teaches
The body writes D when light lands. Indoor winter, dark skin, high latitude, and covered days thin the voice. A number is weather, not a personality.
03 · Plate cue
Fish with the oil still in it. Yolk. Time outside that is not a screen.
04 · What food will not reliably do
A plate will not reliably replace a documented winter gap at altitude, or a body that cannot meet the light. That is when a test earns its keep. A plate is still the first current.
05 · Then the test
25-OH vitamin D, when it is due — not as a personality.
06 · The band, not a trophy
The rooms often call the thirties the floor. Sufficiency is a band, not a trophy. A personal high number is not the band this river keeps.
07 · A named form if a gap is already known
D3 (cholecalciferol) with food, if a gap is already known. Not a megadose story.
08 · The ceiling
A bottle can pass the rooms’ ceiling. Sun and food almost never do. Too much shows up as calcium weather, not as a gold star.
D is not a church. Light first. Test when the season asks. Do not chase a coded high number.
